Trattamento fitosanitario HT

In recent years globalization has witnessed a significant increase in commercial exchange among the countries of the world. In this context, wooden packaging represents a potential diffusion channel for potentially harmful organisms. Hence, it has become necessary to reduce the risks of contamination by introducing some phytosanitary safety measures in order to protect our forest heritage.

One of these measures is
HEAT TREATMENT. Bare packaging is placed inside a special unit. It is then kept until the air temperature reaches 56 degrees Celsius and enters the "heart of the wood". Once the temperature reaches the required level, the wood is let sit for 30 minutes.

Lesti Pallets has obtained the phytosanitary code from the FITOK
13-004 which gives it the permit to use the Voluntary Phytosanitary Mark (VPM) and FAO ISPM-15 marks as:
- Subject
7.1 which uses Heat Treatment on semi-processed, semi-finished and finished materials;
- Subject
7.2b which uses semi-processed and semi-finished wooden packaging material.
These permits allow and certify use of Heat Treatment on every kind of wooden packaging in unlimited quantities.

The
ARTIFICIAL DRYING PROCESS is calibrated to obtain good results with all kinds of wood. It's very different from the natural drying process, which is influenced by atmospheric factors and may lead to unsatisfactory outcomes. As the artificial drying process takes place in hi-tech chambers, Lesti Pallets can obtain noticeable quantities of dry pallets in a short time in order to satisfy any customer request.
